Tottenham lose to Arsenal in North London Derby

Gooners celebrate victory away

Gunners top the Premier League

Premier League leaders Arsenal survived a second-half scare to hold on for a 3-2 north London derby victory that cemented their position at the top of the table.

Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka both claimed a goal and an assist as Arsenal won the bragging rights with a 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Harry Kane scored twice for Tottenham, but it was not enough to prevent Arsenal from extending their lead at the top of the table to four points.

The victory was Arsenal's fourth in a row in the Premier League and extended their unbeaten run to eight games.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have now lost three of their last four games in all competitions.

The result leaves Arsenal in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League, while Tottenham's hopes of a top-four finish are fading.

The match was played in front of a packed crowd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and was a tense and exciting affair from start to finish.

Arsenal took the lead in the 12th minute when Smith Rowe finished off a fine move involving Saka and Martin Odegaard.

Saka then doubled Arsenal's lead in the 32nd minute with a well-taken goal from outside the box.

Tottenham pulled a goal back just before half-time when Kane converted a penalty after Gabriel Magalhaes fouled Son Heung-min.

Kane then equalized for Tottenham in the 57th minute with a header from a corner.

However, Arsenal regained the lead in the 69th minute when Smith Rowe set up Saka for a simple finish.

Tottenham pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages, but Arsenal held on to secure a vital victory.

The result was a major boost for Arsenal's title hopes and a blow to Tottenham's top-four aspirations.
